Our first project was the science safety video. First we looked up some lab safety rules.
Then we had to make a script for our video. Next we filmed the project. Finally we presented them to the class. It was really fun.

Next our class made paper airplanes. First we went on a website to find different paper airplane models.
Then we used the scientific method to help with our paper airplane packet.
Next we made the paper airplanes we choose. Then we flew them to see how far they went. Finally we compared our flights for our planes. It was a nice little experiment.

Our next project is the cell theory timeline. First we researched abou cells like how they were discovered and how they they were so small. Next we made a presentation about cells. Finally we presented them to the class. It was a fun project.

With the cell life cycle posters, first we looked up the cell life cycle, and finally made the poster.

pond water lab
One of our most interesting projects yet was the pond water lab. First we researched the six types of bacteria and put it on our paper. Next we had to complete a crossword puzzle and put down the answers on the paper. Then we looked at pond water through a microscope and wrote about it.
Finally we researched 5 different types of bacteria and wrote about them.
It was a really fun project.

Cheek labratory
Not much to say here, we really just used a tooth pick to get cells from our cheeks and put it under a microscope and wrote about it. But it was still fun.
blue green algae brochure
First we made a google doc and a giant board about blue green algae.
Next we went to a website called U-printing and made a brochure and added stuff about blue green algae. Finally we printed it out colored it in and presented them to the class.

Quarter 2
The Candy lab
Testing for Acid!!!
One of our first projects of the quarter was the Candy lab. First we tested to which candies had acid we tested stuff like Starbursts, Mike and Ikes, and MM's.
Next we tested which had Oil. We tested Candies like Hot Tamlies, lemon Heads, and Skittles. Our final Test was with Skittles and MM's and to see what dyes were made to make the dye it has.
The Candy Lab had to be one of our best projects ever!!!

Biome sweet biome
The First thing we did on this long project was do Vocabulary definitions. Next, we did the threats to plants and animals and how to survive in the Biome. The Next one we did was make a Presentation on a Biome we Reasearched. After that we were let loose to make our own Wild Selfs, Make a visual of a Biome, and make an Endangered Species Report.

Physical Changes vs. Chemical Changes
Our last project of the quarter was physical and chemical changes. First we did chemical. We put sugar on a frying pan and let it cook. It turned brown. this was a chemical change. Next we did physical changes. what we did was beat an egg. After a while it got all foamy. this was a physical change. This was a short, but very fun experiment.
Quarter 3
Static Electricity
Our first project of the third quarter was static electricity. what we did was rub a balloon with different materials and see if the pepper would ride on the balloon. Short but, interesting.
Circuts
Next, we did circuts. What we did was get a battery, some wire, and a lightbulb. What we did was use two of those wires and connected them to the battery. Finally, we connected those wires to the lightbulb. It light up. Interesting but Cles
Motor man
The next project was making a Motor. We needed 2 paper clips, a battery, a battery holder, a magnet, and some wire. Next we had to construct the motor as shown. Finally we had to get the wire to spin. The project was really hard but, fun.
